The Frayer Model

Extending vocabulary using the Frayer Model.

Purpose: Identify unfamiliar concepts and vocabulary.

The Frayer Model is a graphic organizer (designed by Dorothy Frayer) that helps students to understand key words and concepts. Students are asked to provide a definition of the word, distinctive characteristics, examples, and non examples.
